Our dentists, Dr. Timothy Gardner and Dr. Todd Leiker, and the team proudly serve their community by hosting and participating in a variety charitable activities and organizations. These events which happen throughout the year are some of their most cherished and enjoyable times.
Dentistry From the Heart
On March 4, we held our 14th annual Dentistry From the Heart (DFTH) event, donating more than $26,511 worth of free dental care, from dental cleanings to fillings and extractions, to our underprivileged and uninsured neighbors in Montgomery County. The goal was first and foremost to treat infections and help patients find relief from dental pain.
Dr. Timothy Gardner, Dr. Todd Leiker, Dr. Ken Ferguson and Dr. Sandra Felefli, as well as our registered dental hygienists Rachel and Trisha, joined with the national nonprofit DFTH organization to donate their time and talent this year. We are all proud to share the same goal: make people smile!
Dentistry for Veterans
11th Annual “Dentistry For Veterans”
Dr. Timothy E. Gardner of Montgomery & Conroe Comprehensive Dental Centers honors Veteran’s Day with free dentistry! “Pay It Forward” as Dr. Gardner always says.
For the 11th consecutive year, Dr. Gardner and volunteers, which included Dr. Todd Leiker; Dr. Sandra Felefli; Rachel Burroughs, RDH; Logan Freeman, BSDH; Trisha Ortiz, RDH; Tiffany Whitley, RDH; as well as area dental assistants, performed over $178,751 worth of free dentistry to over 43 Montgomery County veterans.
In addition, business sponsors for the event included Dental Health Products, BioHorizon, Benco Dental, and Williams Dental Lab.
This year they chose an ambassador for the event: Special Operator (SO) Patrick Lopez.
Officially, at the beginning of his Frogman career, he received the SEAL trident in Conroe, Texas, from Michael Thornton, Medal Of Honor recipient. While assigned to his first SEAL team in Hawaii, he was the most deployed west coast SEAL during a three-year period. Throughout his worldwide career, he completed eight major SEAL deployments and trained NAVY forces and other forces in several skill sets.
Special Operator (SO) Patrick Lopez retired from the Navy in 2016.
Patrick is receiving much needed comprehensive dental care through Dr. Timothy Gardner. Patrick proudly supports the wonderful “Dentistry for Veterans” mission to change veterans’ lives, one smile at a time.
Dr. Gardner has always held the military in the highest regard and created this event to give back to those who have given so much for our country. To date, the event has donated more than $932,751 worth of free dental care to Montgomery County veterans.
